- Wikipedia - My favorite site of all-time!
NEWS
- International Herald Tribune - A NY Times-affiliated site but more international in scope.
- The Oil Drum - The oil and energy problem could be the biggest crisis of the 21st century. The Oil Drum will keep you updated on the latest (non)developments.

- BBC News - BBC -- 'nuff said.
- The Globe and Mail - A Canadian newspaper -- world and domestic events from a Canuck view.
- Der Spiegel - Great German news site that offers relevant commentary along with keeping you informed.
TECH

- Seeking Alpha - "Nice cross-section of news, analysis, opinions on investment-related matters. North America centric."
- The Big Picture Blog - "Barry Ritholz appears regularly on CNBC but don't hold it against him. Unlike most commentators, his analysis doesn't ignore what's happening in the real world."
- The Korelin Economics Report - Daily and weekly radio shows with Al Korelin and guests. Focuses a lot on gold and general economic news
- thestreet.com - Home to Aaron Task's The Real Story internet broadcast. And some guy named Cramer -- not useful for a pseudo-value investor like me. Task's show is great though to get the mood on Wall Street.
- Your Money with Chuck Jaffe - Chuck Jaffe is a columnist with Marketwatch and his radio show is fantastic. Probably the best radio show around for the individual investor.
- StockChase - Canadian website recaps RobTV stock picks and pans. Useful for research and keeping tabs on Canadian markets
- Calculated Risk - "Great blog on the the housing market, especially from the financing/mortgage aspect."
- Interest Rate Roundup - Mike Larson does a bang-up job of going over economic reports and giving you the real dirt on what they might mean.
- Motley Fool CAPS - "The Motley Fool is a great resource to investors. I don't currently subscribe to any newsletters but if I did, a MF offering wouldn’t' be a bad choice. The CAPS is the community research board for stocks and is free."
- Monocle - My favorite periodical -- this one runs the gamut from business and politics to fashion and food. A bit pricey but worth it!
