03/09/2008: I'm just about ready to get back into the swing of things after recovering from surgery. Even with the positive performance of the portfolio YTD, it's hard not to be affected by the negative sentiment of the bear market. It's hard to step in and buy a good value stock when you anticipate it being lower the next day or week. Hopefully, I'll be able to maintain discipline; as a value investor, it's foolhardy to try to pick the bottom in any stock. As with everything else in life, easier said than done.
